I started out this blog doing a photo update each month, but life got busier and somehow this all fell by the way side. So finally here are some photos of what the wild horses look like theses days. Sonny is huge, remember the tiny little thing back in november he is no more, now is a big, bay colt......
i know i have new followers, which is so so exciting! So for those of you who maybe havnt seen what the horses looked like when they came from the wild , il put some photos of their first days at the end of this post.

Wow, those horses certainly seem to have improved a lot since you got them - poor Matai looked starved when he first came to you, but now he looks so healthy =)
ReplyDeleteSonny certainly is a handsome boy - he looks like he will be HUGE! I'm a bit afraid of riding tall horses to be quite honest. My mare is only 14.2hh and my gelding is only 15hh (ish), but I think that is a pretty good height for me, personally. I notice that everyone in America seems to be of the opinion that if you ride anything under 16hh, you might as well be riding a pony. Is it like that in NZ? I'm from Australia - nobody really cares about height here, though.
Your horses are all very beautiful, they are lucky that they found someone who will treat them well - they look much better now they are with you.

o thanks megan!! Matai was the skinniest. scrawniest saddest looking little horse when we got him! its amazing for me becuase i forget just how bad he really looked when he arrived! These are the good photos i didnt show the ones where he looks like a walking skelton when u saw him from above.

Thanks i think they are gorgeous to, Sonny has definately matured nicely he was not quite so handsome at birth!
